It was a joke, and he cracked a smile delivering it — but strip away the punchline and Barnes actually endorsed the direction. He called Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves two of the best scoring guards in the league, and that's the pairing that should shape your draft board.
The context is a full-on reset. LeBron James is gone after an eight-year run, and the front office spent the summer building around Doncic. Collin Sexton is the sleeper of the supporting cast.
