The offseason debate about Devin Booker has drifted back to a familiar question: is he still a superstar, or just a very good star? The distinction matters less to fantasy managers than to Phoenix's front office, but the underlying numbers tell you plenty. Booker put up 26.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6 assists across 64 games in 2025-26, good for 40 fantasy points a night and our No. 31 overall ranking (No. 15 at his position).
That's a rock-solid top-35 line, but it's a step below the ceiling he flashed in 2021 and 2022, when he finished fourth in MVP voting and had a legit case as the best shooting guard in the league. Nobody's arguing he belongs in that tier right now. The interesting part is whether Phoenix's roster rebuild hands him a path back to it.
The Roster Reshuffle
The Suns have spent two seasons moving away from a top-heavy cap sheet toward something more balanced. The two contracts that still jump off the page belong to Booker on his supermax and Jalen Green at $36 million. Here's the fantasy wrinkle: a more even scoring distribution can cap Booker's counting stats even as it makes Phoenix better. If Green stays healthy and shoulders real usage — his last five games ran +5.2 fantasy points above his season average — Booker's assist and scoring volume could dip slightly. That's the trade-off with a healthier supporting cast.

Booker's own recent form is quietly encouraging: he closed last season at +2.1 fantasy points above his average over his final five outings. He's a guard you can anchor a build around, with elite free-throw volume and a floor that rarely cracks when he's on the court. The 64 games played is the number I'd circle — availability at this position is gold.
Draft him as the reliable No. 31 he was, not the MVP candidate he used to be. If Phoenix's retooled roster clicks and Green takes pressure off, there's realistic upside toward top-25. HOLD if you've got him, and don't hesitate to draft him around his ADP — the safe floor plus a plausible spike ceiling is exactly the profile you want early.
