Anthony Gill is running it back in Washington. The forward has re-signed with the Wizards for his seventh season with the franchise, making him the longest-tenured player on the current active roster. He's coming off a 2025-26 campaign in which he posted career highs of 5.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game across 55 appearances.

Those are real career bests, and they still land well outside anything that matters in fantasy. Gill has been a rotation piece and a locker-room steadying hand more than a stat producer, and this deal doesn't change that job description. His tenure stretches all the way back to 2020-21 — the last time Washington reached the playoffs.

The Long View

Six years is an eternity in NBA roster terms, especially for a team that spent most of the decade tearing things down and rebuilding. Front offices turn over, whole rosters get flipped, and yet Gill keeps sticking around. He's the guy who takes the minutes he's given, plays clean, and models the right habits for a young Washington core still trying to find its footing.

That professionalism is genuinely valuable to the organization. It just doesn't move the needle for your fantasy team.
