He averaged 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.2 steals across 70 starts (2025-26), all while being the youngest player in the NBA. That line put up 39.8 fantasy points per game and landed him at #34 overall in our rankings.
The context makes it wilder. Flagg became the first teenager to ever score 50 in a game (51 against Orlando), the first teen with four 40-point outings, and the youngest player to string together three straight 30-point games. His back-to-back 51- and 45-point nights tied Wilt Chamberlain for the fifth-most points by a rookie over any two-game span. That's not a good rookie season — that's a franchise-altering one.
The Comps Are the Point
The rookie numbers themselves aren't even the whole story. Flagg's 21.0 points sits right in the neighborhood of LeBron James (20.9 as a rookie), Kevin Durant (20.3) and Luka Doncic (21.2) — and he did it younger than any of them. That's the company you want on a resume.
Here's the part fantasy drafters keep glossing over: none of those stars stayed flat. LeBron jumped from 20.9 to 27.2, Durant went 20.3 to 25.3, and Luka exploded from 21.2 to 28.8 in Year 2. A summer of NBA-level development turned proven rookies into MVP-tier producers. Nobody should pencil Flagg in for 28 a night, but given what he did at 18 and 19, a real leap should be the baseline expectation, not the dream scenario.
The Fantasy Fallout

Flagg already finished last season at 39.8 fantasy points per game and closed strong — his last five games ran +3.8 above his season average (2025-26). For reference, Durant (41.7) and LeBron (41.4) both cleared 41 fantasy points last year, and Flagg was knocking on that door as a teenager on a Mavericks team still figuring out its identity around him.
The move is clear: buy Flagg now, before the sophomore-leap narrative catches fire and his draft cost jumps a full round. If the Year 2 pattern from Luka, LeBron and Durant holds even partially, you're getting a top-15 overall talent at a mid-third-round price. Grab him while the market is still treating a historic rookie season like a ceiling instead of a floor.
